Bread and Butter Pudding

A warm and delicious bread and butter pudding loaded with raisins and candied orange peels.

custard powder

tablespoon
butter

cups
milk
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
sugar to taste

cup
raisins, currants,flaked almonds and candid peels
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a square baking tin or a loaf tin with some butter.
In a saucepan start boiling the milk with sugar Once it starts bubbling add butter and custard powder.
Keep the heat on simmer and start whisking until the custard thickens.
Remove from heat and let it cool a little bit. Add the bread pieces into the custard and gently mix to combine.
Transfer the bread custard mixture into the prepared tin in batches and topped with raisins and nuts in between.
Bake in preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until the pudding is golden in colour.
Serve the pudding warm.
Notes
You may use plain white bread or any french bread to make the pudding.
