coriander powder
salt to taste

Instructions
Dry roast the oats in keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add ginger, garlic and curry leaves.Stir and add green chilli and chopped onions.Fry the onions for few minutes.
Add carrots and peas.Cook for a minute or two and add chopped tomatoes.
Then add all spices and salt.Finally, add 2 cup water and moong dal. Cook for a whistle or until dal is tender if using a pan on simmer.
Once dal is done, add oats, stir and cook for 5-7 minutes or till all water is absorbed.
Remove from heat and serve warm garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
Notes
Use your favorite vegetables to make the khichdi.
