Banana Sheera

A unique sheera or halwa made with semolina and banana. This dessert tastes really nice ad is perfect to try on festivals or to serve guests.

ghee/clarified butter
1/2
cup
sugar
1/2
cup
milk,
warm

water,
hot
1/4
teaspoon
ground nutmeg
1/4
teaspoon
ground cardamom
To garnish
2
tablespoon
pistachios,
chopped(optional)
Instructions
Mash baana and start cooking it in a wok and add ghee and semolina.
Cook on low to medium heat and keep stirring for 5-7 minutes.
Add sugar, cardamom and nutmeg powder and cook for 2 minutes more.
Stir in milk and water and continue stirring on low flames until it starts thickening.
Once sheera is thick remove from heat. Garnish with pistachios and serve warm.
Notes
For best results use coarse semolina to make the banana sheera.
Store leftover in the refrigerator and reheat with a teaspoon ghee when serving.
