teaspoon

teaspoon
lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C°.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Thaw the puff pastry sheet as per package instructions.
In a pan melt butter. Add apples and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add cornstarch, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and lemon juice.
Stir and cook for a minute.
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
Cool the stuffing.
Cut 8-12 equal-sized squares from the puff pastry sheet.
Place 2 tablespoon of filling in the center of the square.
Fold the pastry diagonally and press. Use a fork or knife to seal the edges.
Transfer on a baking sheet, make 2 -3 slits on top, and brush with butter.
Bake in preheated oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Remove from oven and cool the turnovers.
Sprinkle icing sugar or drizzle some glaze.

Notes
Make sure to thaw the puff pastry if uring frozen store-bought ones.
Keep the filling cooled before stuffing it in the pastry.
Preheat the oven before you start making the apple filling.
Brush the pastry with butte or milk.
Seal the edges of the pastry properly and make slit marks on top in order to prevent leaking.
Bake until the pastry is golden.
Store the leftovers at room temperature or in refrigerator
