I am crazy for collecting recipes since childhood. I have several diaries full of recipes from newspaper , cook books, scraps and most of them are hand written . This recipe is from my monthly hindi astrology calender and I think it would be best for Cooking From Cookbook Challenge a creation of our mastermind +Srivalli Jetti , where we have to cook recipes that are hidden somewhere offline. So let’s start the recipe. Yum.
Ingredients:
2 potatoes , boiled
1 cup green onion , chopped
1 capsicum , chopped
1 carrot , chopped
3-4 green chillies , chopped
1/4 cup celery , chopped
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon red Chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon olive oil
15 sandwich bread slice
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon red Chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup bread crumbs
Oil for frying
Method:
Heat oil in a pan , add green onion sauté and add capsicum , carrot , and green chillies. Add mashed potatoes , salt soy sauce , red Chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chopped celery and set aside.
Make a paste of all purpose flour and 1/2 cup water , add chilly powder and salt . Set aside.
Heat oil in a wok , cut round shapes from bread slices with a cookie cutter. Place a spoonful of veggie stuffing over one bread slice .
Pour 2 teaspoon of the all purpose flour mixture over it , sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.
Gently slide the coin in the hot oil ,and fry from both sides till golden and crispy , repeat the same procedure for all breads .
Drain on paper towel and serve hot with chutney.
Enjoy!!
