Poha Ladoo | Aval Laddu

Poha or Aval laddo is a sweet made with flattened rice and jaggery and taste amazing and are super healthy too.

The poha laddo is a popular sweet in Maharashtrian cuisine and along with the super famous Modak, aval ladoo are also made during Ganesh Chaturthi.

This week my theme for Blogging Marathon is to make recipes for festivals occur in the month of July and August. We were given choices from Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Independence day, and Janamasthmi.

I chose to make three recipes for Ganesh Chaturthi festival and the poha ladoo is my first recipe for the same theme. The recipe is adapted from Veg Recipes of India and came out very delicious. Almost half of the ladoo was finished right after capturing the pictures.

After a long time of hesitation and a lot of thinking I finally came out of my comfort zone and tried making a You Tube video for this recipe. It seems super easy when we watch the short videos on Facebook, Pinterest or any other platform but when I started shooting the video, I came to know how much hard work and efforts people put in making the videos.

I took the inspiration from my Blogger buddies Mirelle and Priya Srinivasan who recently also made Videos and jump in the world of videos. Please do check out my first video and share your thoughts.
