Instructions
Sieve wheat flour in a bowl and knead a soft dough using water. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
Make 2 round balls from the dough.
Take one ball on a flat board. Dust with dry wheat flour and roll in small round shape.
Now apply some oil on the disc with fingers.
Sprinkle 1/2 pinch of salt all over it. Likewise, sprinkle some carom seeds on it.
Now sprinkle some dry wheat flour over it.
Press one half of this disc towards the center.
Apply some oil and dry flour on this side of the round disc as well.
Press another half towards the center. Apply oil and dry flour on it.
Now you can see a shape like in the picture above, just fold this one overlapping the other.
Dust with dry flour. Roll into a big round, square or triangle shape.
Heat a non stick Tava and transfer this round on it. Let it cook on low flame for 3 minutes.
Flip on the other side and apply 1 tsp oil/ghee all over it. Now quickly flip it again.
Cook from this side on low medium heat with pressing and moving by a kitchen towel or spatula.
Now flip again and cook from this side for a minute or so. Likewise, make some more paratha.
Remove from heat and serve warm with butter and tea.
Keep stacking the paratha in a casserole box or ina clean kitchen towel if planning to eat later.
Notes
After applying ghee in the layers you can shape it in any shape desired shape, either round, square or triangle.
I prefer making paratha with ghee but you can use oil too.
