mustard seeds
a pinch aseftida

teaspoon
turmeric powder
1/2
teaspoon
red chilli powder

teaspoon
coriander powder
salt to taste

tablespoon
ghee
coriander leaves,
chopped
Instructions
Wash and drain toor dal and cook in pressure cooker with enough water and a pinch of salt and turmeric for about 2 whistles.
Let the pressure release naturally and then open the cooker lid.
Heat ghee in a small pan and add mustard seeds and aseftida. Once the seeds splatter add ginger garlic paste and onions.
Saute the onions until slightly golden and then add turmeric, salt, red chilli and coriander powder.
Add in chopped tomatoes and green chilli and cook until tomatoes are soft.
Pour the tadka onto the cooked dal and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve and enjoy.
