Make a paste of the ingredients to the ground using a little water and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cloves, and peppercorns.
Add ginger, garlic, and chopped onions and saute until onions are slightly golden.
Stir in the ground masala, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and garam masala. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes or until oil comes out from the edges of the pan.
Add cauliflower florets, potatoes and a cup of water. Cook covered for about 15 minutes and stir in between.
Remove from heat and add chopped coriander leaves. Serve warm with naan.
