Kulfi Falooda

A super delicious chilled street food or should I say Frozen dessert that is very popular in North India. This dish is served with alternative layers of basil seeds, falooda noodles, rose syrup and kulfi and makes a wholesome and flavorful indulgence.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rabri, optional
  • 1 cup falooda noodles homemade or store-bought
  • 4 tablespoon rose syrup/roohafjha
  • 2 scoops Kesar kulfi or vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon basil or chia seeds
  • pistachios to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook falooda noodles as per instructions on the package or make at home.
  • Wash and soak basil or chia seeds in 1/2 cup water and set aside.
  • Into the serving glass first, add soaked basil seeds and rose syrup and top it up with Falooda noodles.
  • Then add rabri, kulfi, rose syrup and pistachios.
  • Garnish with some more pistachios.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

I used homemade falooda noodles in this recipe. I will post the recipe for making falooda noddles at home soon on the blog.
Again, I used homemade kulfi but if you are in a hurry you can use store bought kulfi or any of your favorite ice cream.
