Notes
Can we make them vegan?Yes, of course, Use any plant-based milk and yogurt to make the waffles vegan-friendly. You can skip adding the yogurt and add applesauce instead.
How can we store eggless waffles?Refrigerate the leftover in zip lock bags for 2-3 days or freeze them in the freezer for up to a month. Thaw properly completely before eating again.
Any alternatives for sour cream? You can use plain yogurt instead of sour cream in the recipe. Or if you don't have any of these ingredients use the same amount of buttermilk instead.
Can we store the batter? As the batter contains baking powder it is not recommended to store the batter. However, you can mix the dry ingredients and keep them ready. Whenever you'd want to eat waffles, add the wet ingredients and enjoy.
How to make berries compote?Wash and chop any of your favorite berries like blueberries, strawberries, or a mix of all. Add some sugar and leave it aside for 2 hours. After 2 hours, mash with the back of a spoon, and your berry compote is ready. If you are in a hurry simply cook the berries with sugar for 10 minutes. Mash with the back of a spoon and berry compote will be ready to serve.
