Heat ghee in a pan and roast the almond slices. Keep them aside.
Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan and start cooking it on low until it starts boiling.
Once milk starts boiling stir frequently and cook on simmer until it starts thickening a little.
Now add the saffron strands, cardamom powder, crumbled paneer and cook for a few minutes more.
Add sugar to your taste and add the chopped almonds slices.
Remove from heat and serve it warm.
Notes
I did not add any sugar as it was sweet enough from paneer.You may add nuts of your choice to make the kheer more delicious.Even you can add condensed milk instead of sugar.
