Orange chocolate mousse is a decadent mousse filled with flavors of chocolate and orange. It’s a very simple and perfect treat for parties, functions, or any get-together. Normally eggs or animal-based gelatin is used to make mousse but this orange chocolate mousse is made with plant-based gelatin-china grass.
It is super easy to assemble and tatses absolutely decadant. The flavors of orange when combined with chooclate, tastes just spo wonderful.
Ingredients Needed for Orange Chocolate Mousse
- Milk: Whole milk as the base for the mousse.
- Sugar: Adjust as per your taste and preferences.
- Dark chocolate: For that rich and silky smooth texture and flavors.
- Butter: Adds nice flavor and velvety texture.
- China grass: To help to set the mousse.
- Orange juice, essence, and rind: For that refreshing orange flavors.
Can we make it Vegan?
Yes, of course, you can. Replace the milk with plant-based milk and butter with any nut butter of your choice.
How to make Orange Chocolate Mousse
Soak china grass in milk for 1 hour. Now boil this milk till china grass dissolves. Add cocoa powder or chopped dark chocolate whichever you are using.
Mix and add butter, sugar, orange juice, orange essence, and orange rind. Strain and pour in serving glass or molds and keep in the refrigerator for the setting. Decorate with cocoa powder, grated chocolate, and whipped cream.

Serve the chilled orange chocolate mousse with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy.

- 1 teaspoon orange essence

- 2 teaspoon orange rind grated
