Ingredients:
250 gm okra/bhindi
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder
salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 bay leave
2-3 cardamoms
2-3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2 tablespoon oil
For paste
1 onion
2 tablespoon cashew nuts
2 green chillies
1/4 cup yogurt
Method:
Heat a teaspoon oil in a pan and add okra.Sprinkle turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.
Saute for 5-7 minutes.
Add all the ingredients for paste in blender and make a fine paste.
Heat remaining oil in the pan and add bay leave,cloves,cinnamon and cardamoms.Saute for a minute.
Add the yogurt paste,stir and add sauteed okras.
Add salt,red chilli powder,sugar and cook for 5-7 minutes or until okra is done.
Remove from heat and serve hot with luchi or bhaat.
Serve-4 Cooking time-20 minutes
