I liked that you added wheat flour. I usually avoid pasta with white sauce knowing that it is refined flour. WIll check this one for sure.

Yes, this white sauce is a versatile once. Even without cheese, it gives just a cheesy texture to the pasta dish. My DH loves white sauce pasta and I prefer red sauce. So, I make pasta with both sauces often.

True it’s difficult for a red sauce person to adapt to white sauce. But this looks so yummy and I am sure it must have tasted very nice too. I loved you idea of saying the kids that it is white cheese.
