A very tasty and gluten-free potato Tikki made with buckwheat flour, potatoes and mild spices. These tikkis are just perfect to enjoy as the guilt-free and tasty side dish during fasting.

medium potatoes,
boiled
1/4
cup
buckwheat flour
2
green chillies,chopped
2
teaspoon
ginger,
grated
1
teaspoon
lemon juice
1
teaspoon
cumin seeds
peppercorn, crushed to taste
rock salt to taste
1/4
cup
coriander leaves,
chopped
oil for frying
Instructions
In a mixing bowl mash the boiled potatoes. Add green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves and mix well.
Stir in salt, pepper, cumin seeds and lemon juice and buckwheat flour. Mix well until everything combines and dough-like mixture forms.
Make desired size tikkis or round balls and arrange them on a greased plate.
Heat oil in a wok or pan and deep fry the tikkis until golden from both sides.
Drain on paper towel and serve hot with mint chutney.
Notes
You may serve the tikkis with yoghurt, tamarind chutney and mint chutney as in tikki chaats.
