Instructions
In a food processor make a paste of dates. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl add semolina, all purpose flour, sugar and baking powder.
Add in butter and milk and mix together to make a smooth dough.
Cover the dough and let it chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Remove from fridge and make round balls flatten on your palm and fill a teaspoon of date filling in the centre.
Roll again to make a ball and arrange them on the baking tray.
If you have maamouls press and use it to make designs.
Bake in preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
Sprinkle icing sugar, serve and enjoy.
Notes
Store in air tight container to keep the cookies crispy and fresh.
