Khachapuri is Georgia’s national dish which is a leavened bread made with flour and stuffed with cheese fillings. The bread also consists of the runny egg which is added in the end of baking to cook it halfway. Being a staple dish the Georgian people prefer it over pizza and it is served in all cities of Georgia very popularly.

I had to skip the egg as we don’t consume eggs but it was even so delicious and no wonder it’s preferred over Pizza in Georgia. My girls were thinking that I made a boat-shaped pizza and they were super excited to finish it.

I added some fresh rosemary and black pepper to add extra flavourings in the pizza and it turned out really awesome. In Georgia, they use a variety of cheese fillings in the Khachapuri but I used only cheddar and mozzarella as I had only those two in my pantry. I guess I am going to make this boat pizza again and again as promised to my girls.
