As I earlier told about the hundreds of health benefits of chia seeds they are actually considered as one of the Novel food by the European Union.The best part is the gel-like substance you gets after soaking chia seeds in water has a lot of healthy nutrients too.I literally started adding them in plain water or lemonades,breakfast cereal, granola bars and even in bread too and my family loves them.

Theme– 5 Ingredients/5 Categories
Day 3 Ingredient– Chia Seeds
Day 3 Category – Drinks/Smoothies
Dish– Chia limeade
1/2 cup lemon juice,freshly squeezed
sugar or honey as required
4 cups water
3 tablespoon chia seeds
ice cubes as desired
Soak chia seeds in a cup of water and set aside for an hour.
In another bowl add lemon juice and sugar or honey whatever sweetener you are using. Stir to combine.
Add in the soaked chia seeds and remaining water.Add ice cubes if desired.
Pour into serving glasses and enjoy.
Serve-4 Prep time- 10 minutes
