Masala Macroni |Indian Style Macroni

Today’s recipe is nothing fancy, but the simple macaroni pasta cooked in Indian spices and aromatics.The cooked pasta is tossed with tomatoes ,onions and flavorful spice powders to give it a hint of home style taste.

Whenever I feel lazy ,that is most of the time,on weekends ,I prefer to make pasta in my way rather than the traditional Italian method.This is one comfortable and delicious food for me and my family on those lazy weekends.

Dish-Masala Macroni

200 gm elbow macroni pasta
1 onion,chopped
1 tomato,chopped
1 green chilli,chopped
1/2 cup green peas

Spices :
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
salt to taste
1 teaspoon garam masala

2 tablespoon oil
peppercorn to taste ,crushed
few coriander leaves ,chopped(I didn’t had )

Cook macaroni as per package instructions.Drain and set aside.
Heat oil in a a pan and add chopped onions.Cook for a minute and then add green chilli,green peas and tomatoes.
Cook covered until tomatoes are done and peas are tender.Now add all the spices powder and salt.Mix well.
Add cooked pasta ,stir and cook covered for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve hot sprinkled with peppercorn and chopped coriander.


Serve -3 Cooking time-20 minutes
