For the last day of first week of BM#38 , this is my last entry under Gourmet With Rice Dishes . Curd rice is very popular rice dish of south India and is served with or without main course .It is very easy to prepare and tasty too. I adapted the recipe from here .So let’s start the recipe . Yum

Ingredients:

Salt to taste

For tempering
A pinch Asafetida
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon Urad Dal/Split black gram
2 green chillies , chopped
5-6 cashew nuts , broken
10-12 curry leaves
1 teaspoon cooking oil

Method:
Boil the milk and keep aside. Mash the cooked rice with the help of back of spatula.
Add warm milk and salt and mash it again till soft and mushy.
Add beaten yoghurt in it and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan . Add asafetida mustard seeds , curry leaves , cashew nuts , green chillies and urad dal . Stir for a minute and pour this tempering over the mashed rice.
