Besan sheera or halwa (sweet pudding made up of Gram flour) is easy to make and healthy desert.When someone in family is having cold and cough mom used to made it.Besan sheera is enriched with dry fruits ,sweet ,traditional and extremely tasty.Do try this heavenly desert but my advice for this is try to skip it in summers.So let’s start with recipe.yum

Gram flour-150 g(1 cup)
Almonds-8 to 10
Chopped dry apricot-3
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Water-2 cup
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Boil water with sugar and cardamom powder for 5 minutes to make a solution and keep aside.
Sieve gram flour and keep aside.
Heat ghee or butter in a pan(on low flame) and add almonds and chopped apricots,fry for 1 minute and drain on paper towel.
Now add gram flour to that ghee or butter and roast it on low flame with continuous stirring for 5-10 minutes till it becomes golden in color.
Add sugar solution in roasted gram flour and let it boil for 2 minutes till water mix with gram flour .

Remove from heat and garnish with fried almonds and apricots.Sprinkle desiccated coconut over the top.
Serve hot with milk .
Note: Don’t drink water over it as it act as medicine for cold and cough if taken properly.
Don’t over eat as it will cause heating  in stomach.
Serve -2.       Cooking time-15 to 20 minutes
