Balushahi

Sweet and mouth melting balshahi aka badushah .

Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour(maida)
1/4 cup clarified butter(ghee)
1/4 cup yogurt
1 tablespoon pistachio,chopped
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water

Method:
Mix flour,baking soda ,baking powder in a mixing bowl.Add clarified butter/ghee and mix till crumbly.
Now add yogurt and mix until combined. Don’t knead like dough.Allow it to rest for 30 minutes
Make around 10 round balls with a hole in the center.
Heat oil in a pan .Deep fry the balls in oil.
Make sugar syrup by adding sugar in water and stir continuously till it becomes slightly thick.Add cardamom powder in the syrup.
Put the balls in hot sugar syrup for 2-3 minutes.
Take out the balls and decorate with chopped pistachio.

Serve-6  Cooking time-30 miutes
